Following the suspension of all of our courses due to the pandemic, we are pleased to announce that they are soon to resume. Starting in October, two PHEC courses relaunch our rebranded educational offering. There are currently six PHEC courses planned between now and the end of February with members receive a healthy £140 saving on non-members prices.
The ongoing pandemic has meant that the courses have been adapted with a view to maintaining social distancing where possible and where not to using appropriate PPE for infection control purposes. Tony Kemp, Chief Officer explained; “We have identified venues that provide optimum environmental surrounding including well ventilated very large rooms whilst placing a maximum of 12-students per course. For instance at Putteridge Bury in Bedfordshire the rooms we are using would, in normal circumstances, accommodate up to 70 people”. He continued “Much of our courses are very practical and these components will take place within small syndicates all and will be held outside. Everyone will be wearing face shields, masks, aprons and gloves when participating in practical work and all of our equipment is wipe down.”
At the moment the 3-day Pre-hospital Emergency Care (PHEC) course is open to bookings and as soon as venues and faculty availability are confirmed the 5-day Immediate Care Course (ICC) and others will be advertised. Since opening the bookings the six PHEC courses are filling fast.
More information on the courses and how to book is available on the Association’s website or by ringing 0300 303 1757.
