The BASICS Pre-hospital Emergency Care Conference has been an annual event for many years. This year we return to the West Midlands area and following feedback have changed from a Friday & Saturday attendance to Thursday & Friday, the 3-4 October 2019. The conference will include input from recognised authorities within their fields as well as from others working at the sharp end of pre-hospital emergency care, this will combine lectures, workshops and opportunities to chat informally. The Annual BASICS Dinner will be held on the evening of the 3 October 2019 and this will include honouring a number of our members with a variety of different awards for their role and involvement in the science, practice & organisation of immediate care. By tradition the Dinner dress code is black tie and miniatures or cocktail/evening dresses with miniatures, but please don’t be put off by this and if you prefer to dress more informally we’d still very much welcome your company.
