Quite rightly BASICS Education has a long and well-established reputation for delivering high quality courses supporting the delivery of pre-hospital emergency care. Over the years our courses have evolved to include new therapies and practice with the emphasis on the PHEC (pre-hospital emergency care) course being the cornerstone of a practitioner’s training for their pre-hospital role.
With the advent of the PHEM pathway and other external developments, it is time to change our approach so as to better suit todays needs. The PHEC remains but its focus has moved from being the preparatory course for those wishing to provide emergency care as a responder to one that provides an introduction to pre-hospital care equipping the participants to provide a first response. The Advanced PHEC is now incorporated within the new 5-day Immediate Care Course (ICC) which is the focused platform for those undertaking emergency response roles beyond first responding. The ICC includes care of infants and children as well as assisting with pre-hospital emergency anaesthesia.
Course enquires should be directed to Tracy Parkinson.
