Helicopter medics fly to helicopter crash

The BASICS Magpas Helimedix team were called  at approximately 11:35 this morning to a helicopter crash at Lancaster Way Business Park at Witchford, near Ely in Cambridgeshire. Unfortunatly the pilot died in the crash which is currently being investigated by the Air Accident Investigation Bureau.

Eye witnesses report seeing the aircraft  en route from Manston in Kent to Lincolnshire bellowing smoke before plumetting to the ground and landing upside down. A Cambridgeshire police spokesman stated that debris is spread over wide area which will remain cordoned off overnight into Saturday.
