MAGPAS treat three twixt Lord Protector and the Ring's End

MAGPAS doctors, ambulance crews and the fire service attended a two-vehicle collision at Redmoor Lane, Wisbech, which happened shortly after 4pm. Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to release three casualties. The MAGPAS team, Dr Fiona Bowles and volunteer paramedic Miss Jo Lambert arrived at the scene to attend three trapped patients as a result of the collision.

Two people suffered minor injuries in the collision, which involved a silver Saab and a silver Citroen Xsara Picasso. The Helimedix worked alongside the emergency services to get the other two patients out of the cars and treated a man in his 80s for chest injuries before taking him to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn, where his condition was described as serious but stable.

The road was closed between the A141 Ring’s End roundabout near Guyhirn and the B198 Cromwell Road roundabout near Wisbech, causing heavy traffic across Fenland.
