Busy New Years Day for MAGPAS

Ambulance crew attending a 26 year old involved in a fall at home in March, Cambridgeshire requested backup from Magpas Helimedix Team. East Anglian Air Ambulance were dispatched however they were unable to proceed to scene due to poor weather conditions and had to return to Cambridge.  The Helimedix team anaesthetised the patient on scene and continued to provide pre-hospital critical care whilst escorting the patient by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, the regions specialist trauma centre where his condition on arrival was serious but stable.
