Camper van overturned on A1 with family of five onboard
A family of five originally from Spain involved in a collision on the A1M near Alconbury. The Helimedix team provided essential Pre Hospital Critical Care on scene. A woman aged 54, believed to be the mother of the family was trapped in the overturned camper van and had sustained multiple injuries. The attending fire crew were able to use specialist cutting equipment to free the patient. The Magpas Helimedix team were then able to sedate the woman and extricate her from the vehicle. All five patients were then transferred to Peterborough General Hospital by land Ambulance. The woman’s condition is believed to be serious but stable.
