Six injured in Grantham road crash

On Sunday 25th April two members from the LIVES scheme responded to a high speed crash between a car and a van.  The incident occurred at approximately 19.20hrs on the A607 just outside the village of Denton near Grantham.  Six casualties were triaged and treated by the team in conjunction with EMAS crews.  Three casualties were taken to Lincoln County Hospital, one with a suspected flail chest and another with spinal injuries.  Three more with minor injuries declined transport to hospital.  The doctor on scene said ‘The whole team worked well together allowing us to clear the scene quickly and enabling us to stabilize the more seriously injured prior to their transfer to hospital.’
