April 2009 - Head of Nursing, St John Ambulance

Tony Kemp, Honorary Secretary of BASICS and active member of SIMCAS (Sussex, Surrey & Kent Immediate Care Scheme) has been appointed Head of Nursing for Professional and Practice Development by St John Ambulance.  One of three senior nursing posts recently appointed Tony brings considerable pre-hospital experience to St John.  As part of his role he will be reponsible for identifying areas of development both for the organisations nurses and those they work alongside.

Tony returns to St John having been a cadet member as a youngster and serving as a Nursing Officer and later Area Staff Officer in Dorset and Sussex.
